What is Dehydration?

Mild to moderate dehydration is defined as the loss of 2-6% of your body weight through fluids.
75% of people are dehydrated every day from losing water and electrolytes through sweat, saliva, urine, and other bodily functions.
Water doesn’t contain electrolytes which is why dehydration is so common.

How does an ORS solution work?

ORS contains specific amounts of glucose and electrolytes.
These components maximize fluid absorption in the gastrointestinal tract.
The gastrointestinal tract relies on sodium-glucose cotransporters (SGLTs), which are carrier proteins in the intestinal cells.
Cotransporters help move substances across membranes.

How To Use:

Fill BOTTLE with 1000mL of fresh, cold drinking water. For babies under 6 months, use freshly boiled and cooled water.
Empty contents of one sachet into 1000mL of water and stir until the Hydro-ORSe powder has dissolved.
Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist
Discard unused solution after 24 hours if refrigerated
Do not mix Hydro-ORS with cordial, fruit juice, soft, or sports drinks.
